Terms of Service
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Your account
You need an account to use Website Guardian. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must be able to enter into a binding contract to sign up — generally, 18 or older.
What the service does
Website Guardian passively monitors websites you add: uptime, SSL certificate validity, domain expiry, DMARC/SPF configuration, blacklist status, and security response headers, on a schedule you control. We only observe your site from the outside, the same way a browser or DNS resolver would — we never log into your server, hosting panel, or CMS, and we never modify anything on your site.
Monitoring only sites you're authorized to add
You may only add domains you own or are authorized to monitor. Don't use Website Guardian to monitor third-party sites without permission, or to probe for vulnerabilities you don't intend to disclose responsibly.
Subscriptions
Plans are limited by the number of sites you can actively monitor at once. Subscriptions are billed through LemonSqueezy or Freemius and renew automatically until cancelled. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Billing; downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle so you keep what you already paid for.
Accuracy of checks
Checks rely on third-party data sources (WHOIS registries, Google Safe Browsing, DNS resolution) and network conditions outside our control. We check on a recurring schedule and only open an alert once an issue is confirmed, but we can't guarantee zero false positives or that every real issue is caught immediately. Website Guardian is a monitoring aid, not a substitute for your own security practices.
Notification delivery
When you connect Telegram, you're granting Website Guardian permission to send messages to the bot/chat you configure until you disconnect it. You can revoke access at any time from Notification settings.
Service availability
We aim to keep Website Guardian running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — third-party services we depend on (WHOIS registries, Google Safe Browsing, Telegram) can occasionally have outages outside our control.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Deleting a site removes it from active monitoring — historical billing records are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
Website Guardian is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or damage arising from an issue we failed to detect or notify you about in time — our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll post an update here and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
